 We are seeking doctorate level licensed psychologists in the Des Moines and surrounding area who are interested in working with the current “greatest generation”, as well as the coming flood of aging baby boomers.  Having a long-term relationship with The Eden Alternative, our philosophy is that Elderhood is the culmination of a life of learning and experience, not a time of decline and despair.  We want to join forces with YOU to help continue this philosophy and help reform the future of our elders.

 

GeroPsych has full time, part time and prn positions available for those interested.  This job will involve Diagnostic Interviewing and follow-up psychotherapy with elders, most of whom live in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.  This entails very limited take-home work, call, etc.  Gero Psychology is a significant growth area as the baby boomers “come of age”.  The work is unusually rewarding, both personally and professionally.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must hold a current license in IA as a Doctorate level Psychologist, or be immediately eligible for one.  Job requires good computer/word processing skills.  Of course, excellent interpersonal skills are necessary.  Some experience with geriatrics and rehabilitation with health psychology is a plus.

Ads on the IPA website are $75 per month. To submit an ad for publication send email to Carmella Schultes or phone the IPA Central Office at 712-848-3595 or 712-358-1621.

Ads are also accepted for TIP 
The rates for advertising in TIP are:
Full page: $345.00
1/2 page: $230.00
2 Column: $25.00 per inch
1 Column: $12.50 per inch

In all cases, IPA reserves the right to reject any submissions.
